Where is a safe trolley jacking point on the front end of a peugeot partner

I would like to jack the front end using trolley jack to change discs. where is a safe jacking point for a trolley jack?

THE ONLY SAFE WAY IS TO JACK ON THE FRONT CROSS MEMBER,AND PLACE TRESSELS ON THE CHASSIS(SAFETY FIRST)

I want to change the side-light bulb on my Citroen Picasso off side front. I can get the near side one off, but find it difficult to turn the bulb holder inserted in the head light lens. Should I use some outside help like a HAMMER? Pete

to change engine mounts place a trolley jack under the sump and take the load of the engine off the mount. Don't lift the car just jack until you see the engine mount come loose.

Replace brake pads on rear of car


  • First, you have to get a ratchet set. You may also need some everyday tools that you should have lying around the house. You also need a trolley jack and a car stand to go under your car to stop it from falling off of the jack.
  • After you have gathered the supplies, loosen the bolts to the rear left wheel with a 17mm ratchet. Do not fully remove the bolts, but loosen them enough. After loosening, find the jack point under the car near where the wheel is. Place the stand under the jack point and jack up the car then place the car stand under the jack point at the side of the trolley jack then remove the trolley jack slowly letting the car rest on the stand. Do the same thing on the other read wheel so that the entire back is lifted slightly making it easier to work with both wheels.
  • Now remove the wheel bolts completely and remove the wheels. Locate the two 15mm bolts on the back of the brake caliper, just under the caliper holder. Remove them and liberally apply force on the caliper to get it out of the way. It’s a good idea to rest the caliper on the trolley jack to prevent you from bending any of the break pipes.
  • Once the caliper is removed, take out the brake pads and replace them with the new ones. Place the caliper back and place the bolts back in the correct position from the start and tighten fully. Place the wheel back on the car hub and tighten the bolts. The bolts won’t be able to be tightened fully since the car is still suspended. Repeat this ending process on the other wheel. Only after, using the jack under the car stands, lower the car back to the ground. Once the car is back on the ground, use the 17mm socket to make sure each wheel is completely tightened.
  • When shopping for ratchets, try to find some that have long handles so it is easier to apply the force needed to tighten the wheels’ bolts completely.
  • Congratulations on changing your brake pads and saving money that would otherwise be spent at the garage.

place the trolley jack under the front cross member . (The big bit that connects the side frames under the sump). Lift as high as possible and place the jack stands under the chassis ( moulded rails ) where the sub-frame meets . Then place the trolley jack under the rear diff and lift as high as possible Place the jack stands under the chassis at the front of the springs or track rods By using these positions you will have the cabin securely jacked up with all the wheels free to remove or to work on. Before going under try rocking the vehicle hard to ensure that it will not move off the stands.

these will be behind the front wheel and in fron t of the rear wheels ,look for a sort of cut out bit that the jack head goes into failing which use a trolley jack

I have a 1993 Holden Apollo station wagon front wheel drive and have to change the front passenger tyre. I'm not sure where to place the jack as there is rubber covering the underneath, could you please...


providing its not rust then put jack under front end of the seal ,if you have a trolley jack then go for chassis a bit further under ,but i dont think you get much of a corrosion problem in aussie unlike the UK or germany

Hi, BMW's have a jacking point. If you are looking at the back wheel, look along the side skirts under the back passenger door. There will be a small disc with a horizontal hole. Use a screw driver to turn the disc until it comes out, that is your jacking point.

Place the jack's horizontal arm all the way into the jacking point and start to wind the jack handle. The car will then start to rise at the back. The same prinicple appplies for the front as well, the fronts jacking point is on the skirting under the front doors.

How to change the front brake pads


Jack up the front end - SAFELY...
Put on jack stands so the front wheels are hanging.. Chalk the rear wheels..
Pull the tires off..
Disconect the calipers. Usually takes a allen wrench..
Pop out the old pads..
Before snapping the new ones in you need to open up the calipers..
Open the master cap under the hood..
To open the caliper I use a seaclamp.. Set the seaclamp so the on end will be against the inner cylinder & the other part of clamp on the calipar housing or mount.. Force the cylinder into the caliper - opening it.. This way the new pads will get over the roter..
Put the calipers back on & sucure well..
Repeat in rear if has rear disc..

1995 n pug 306 td. how to change back axle mounts.


remove the rear box off the exhaust(2x13mm nuts)prop the front wheels then jack the back end of the car up put the jack on the tube of the axle use 2x axle stands on the rear jacking points on the sills lower the car on to the stands(leav the jack under the rear axle to help lower it to the ground) then release the hand brake.now in side the boot of the car you will find 3x16mm nuts on the left side and the same on the drivers side there are some times plastic gromits covering the nuts undo the nuts and lower the jack wala the axle is off.DO NOT FORGET TO UNDO THE BRAKE PIPES.the rest is simple.i have done this job by my self many times.
