SOURCE: 2004 Buick Rendezvous For a couple of weeks the

The oil system reminder needs to be reset so the computer knows you had the oil changed. The procedure is in the owners manual but can be tough to find so you might have to do a little searching for it. Many of the GM vehicles can be reset by turning the ignition key to "run" [but don't crank or start the engine] and then fully depressing and releasing the accellerator pedal smothly three times within 5 seconds. Turn the key off, wait about 10 seconds and restart the engine to see if the reset was successful. Check your manual first as not all GM's can be reset this way and yours may be different.

SOURCE: Can someone please tell me

I would tell the repair shop what is happening and let THEM diagnose and recommend what to do. Dont take it to any chain store, take it to a dealer or at least a shop that does a lot of GM work and has experience with your type of vehicle.

did you have an oil change when you had the head gaskets replaced?
IF so, your heads are VERY possibly cracked/warped...

Or the gaskets weren't installed correctly!

The anti-lock light is on and it is causing the awd to disable what should I do?

If the ABS is causing the AWD to come on. Scan it and find out which wheel sensor/bearing is bad, replace it. This could happen. Most AWD lights are because the sensor/actuator in the rear axle assembly is bad. A high dollar part.

VERSATRACK HOW TO REPLACE rear diff acuator

Do you mean AWD rear flow valve? Put drain pan under rear differential, unhook connector, unscrew flow valve bolt and pull it out. Reverse order to install. You will need to refill with 4 pints of versatrak fluid (unscrew fill plug) because when you remove the flow valve, all the versatrak fluid comes out. You can only get versatrak fluid at any GM dealership. Do not reuse old nasty versatrak fluid because that is why it got plugged up in the first place.

2002 buick rendezvous "awd disable" lite comes and stays on.

The most common cause for this problem that I see is a failed rear "Differential oil flow valve". You would need someone to hook up to the vehicle with a scan tool and retrieve the service code to know for sure but the valve is usually the culprit in most cases. There may be a code that says something like "rear axle over temp condition" and this relates to the valve problem. There are other things that can cause the AWD light to come on so it's always good to check first before replacing parts as the valve is fairly expensive. Good luck, hope this helps!

Humming noise from differential

The Buick Rendezvous has this common problem,it starts with the tube that goes into the top of the differential and allows water to enter, this diff uses a special GM fluid called Versatrack and is expensive, any attempt to use a heavy duty fluid spells disaster. We
stock complete differentials for these vehicles direct from the Magna factory in Austria, they have a RDM unit inside of the housing and no parts sold seperately because there are two valves
that must be set at the factory (temperature and pressure release)
and when the water mixes with the Versatrack fluid and destroys the clutch pack and valve settings. This is where your noise is coming from, our part number for the unit is 740D-1 (it's a OEM unit)

Awd disable light remains lit

Most common repair to solve the problem is replace flow valve on the rear differential and also replaced 4 pints of VersaTrak at the same time. (I'm a retired GM engineer.)

What would cause the AWD light to come on in a 2006 buick rendezvous

There could be alot of problems if the AWD lights comes it could either
transmission oil is old or the oil filter is dirty ,these interact with onboard
computer and produces false signal which causes the car to be AWD mode
or this could be the problem with selector switch ,first try to replace the oil and check if its AWD light goes......

Good luck...
