I have a 89 GMC Suncrest motor home with starting problems, new battery, new starter and still will not turn over I'm stumbed

Is the purple wire at the starter solenoid showing power when the key is turned to the start position? Check that first. Also do you have an aftermarket starter interrupt system, look under the dash for a little black plastic case with wires coming out hanging down or taped up there.

My trailor hitch had an electrical Fire so it as replace and the repair shop told me the cause was a malfunctioning multifunction switch. Does that seem correct.

No. the switch has fuses. The fire was most likely caused from wiring it wrong. The fuses should have blown first.

If i have a 1996 chevy cavalier i have the firing order for the spark plugs but need the order for the distributor or ignition coil

Firing Orders

    FIRING ORDERS

    See Figures 1 and 2
To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement.
If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes to reflect how your engine is wired.

Engine misses on#5 cylinder i have already changed the coil on that cylinder and the plug also checked all vacuum lines

not uncommon to have bad injector plugs can fire all day but if #5 injector doesnt give it anything to fire you will have a miss but first i can,t stress the importance of using die electric grease on those coil packs and booties i have found alot of problematic misses to end up being repaired by a little die electric grease

Interior and exterior fuse keeps blowing on my 1999 sunfire

if the fuse keeps blowing then there is an electrical short somewhere and this needs to be found and repaired, fuse keeps blowing so the wires don't over heat and cause a fire, do not put in a larger fuse than is required you can cause a fire

    Ignition module engine not firing

The mechanic should check if the battery is ok and full charge. After checking the battery the mechanic should check on the wires from the ignition switch ,the fuses ,ignition assy. , the rotor, coil , the solenoid , the sensor ,the the alternator, the distributor assy. ,the spark plug cable wires , and the spark plug. For these can be the sort of problem that can be the cause of engine not firing . these could be the problem of the car. Because if the engine is not firing then no electric is rotating .or less current or electric is rotating to the car.And its better to do such total checking so that you won't spend to much time repairing the car. But its been fixed for sure, If these parts are dirty then clean it too.
