SOURCE: Suzuki Grand Vitara Oil Filter Replacement Disaster

Four or six cylinder engine and behind or front of the oil filter? Looked under my GV 2007 2.7 V6 and can not locate a shiny metal box next to the oil filter. Only thing that was shiny was the exhaust manifold and oil sump which are quite hard to break or puncture. If it was the oil sump you will have to remove it and get it welded as a bog will not hold on heated engine parts.

SOURCE: engine oil and tyre pressures

use 10W30W, that is the heaviest oil this engine needs, thicker oils can damage the bearings due to oil starvation, as far as tire pressure goes 30- 32 PSI is best for this little car.

I have a 2001 suzuki vitara the oil light comes on at low idle

means your oil pressure is dropping below an acceptable standard. the oil pump is operated by the crank shaft so when the RPMs drop, so does the output of the pump. the engine is 10 years old and like everything else it, and its components, wears out with age and use.

you can try replacing the oil pressure sensor, but most likely the problem is an old pump. an alternative would be to jack up the idle a bit so the pump runs a bit faster at idle.

1999 suzuki grand vitara will not turn over, jumping starts the car, also vehicle was very low on oil, wondering if there is an oil sensor?

If jumping the car off starts it and it will keep running, then you have a bad battery and need to replace it. If it starts the car and it shuts off again, you need to replace your alternator.

As for the oil situation, make sure there isn't an oil leak. And it isn't likely that there's an oil sensor.

My suzuki vitara says check engine,it has water, i put oil into it, it wont start at all, i need help pls

A check engine light can be caused by any sensor being out of range. you will need to have codes checked to begin to look for the problem. It does not always mean that there is an internal problem. If oil pressure gauge or light is normal and engine is not overheating then it's a computer related problem.

Camshaft Bearings (bushings)

it doesn't use camshaft bearing becuase where the cam sits is aluminum and the way it oils that is the bearing.
