Stalling when going from R to D while plowing snow

2008 gmc 4wd with work truck package and plow prep with dealer installed fisher plow intermittantly stalls when going from R to L sometimes in the middle of the highway. I am running lights, 4 way, beacon. I have also noticed that the voltage level gets quite low after using the plow for a short while (10-15 min.) and the problem seems to occur at this time.

It sounds like your draining your battery with all the accessories. It could be a loose alternator belt or that the belt is just getting wet and slipping or your alternator is not up to the job!
Try going to a good auto parts store like Advanced Auto and ask them if this could be the problem. They may be able to swap up your alternator to one that can handle the load!

My plow went up it was jerking and did it in steps , but , it got there . Now , it onlyjerks when i try to angle it right or left or up . I filled the fluid ... I have a fisher plow every time i move ther plow control up or side to side the vehicle stalls

If your plow is electric/hydraulic then you will have to introduce a second battery into the system and upgrade your alternator to a heavier one. The good news is that GM has the battery kit, it can be found in any diesel truck in a salvage yard or ordered from the dealer. Upgrade your alternator to at least a 70 amp output. If you have a local battery and electric shop they can upgrade your current alternator for a lot less than buying a new or rebuilt one. Hope this helps.

Lights on a fisher xtreme plow wont work

I'm guessing that you have already checked to make sure there is power going to the plow lights. If not use a test light and make sure. The most likely problem is the grounds from the plow lights themselves to the frame. Take the lights apart and check and/or replace the grounds, wires inside the case take a lot of vibration and that can cause them to fail.Don't forget to check the bulbs to be sure they're good too. I have a diamond snow plow about 10 years old. It has the E 60 motor on a 71/2 foot plow. I put it on the truck everything worked fine. I clean the main wiring harness and put *** grease in the harness....
