SOURCE: Clutch makes a squealing noise

The throw out bearing is going oout. The reason you hear the squeal when you push in the clutch is that is when the throw out bearing spins up. Rest of the time it does not spin.It is irratating, You should replace the entire clutch assembly when you replace the throw out bearing. Hope this helps, rate me high.

SOURCE: loud squealing noise when clutch pedal is depressed

Hi Dom,
Probably the release bearing is worn-out.
In my opinion, you should look for good motor shop around your area.
Let them replace the release bearing, clutch lining assembly, and the pressure plate assembly.
Labor cost for that job is around 500.00 to 800.00 pesos.
I don't know the prices of the parts now.

I'm sure this will solve your problem.

SOURCE: sound coming from the engine

First off is your car front wheel drive? from the limited information you have given me it sounds like it is your "spigot" bearing in your clutch. it is usually the first sign of wear, I would have that checked by your mechanic. If it is squeeking it means that it is not acting as a bearing and is starting to bind. if it binds compleatly it will actually weld itself inside your clutch, which can be a VERY costly repair. unfortunately there is no quick fix and it is usually a new clutch kit plus labour costs.

Clutch noise

Bearing noises in a clutch system are easily distinguished by running a few simple tests. Start the engine and leave the transmission in neutral. If a transmission makes noise when it is in neutral it is often a worn input shaft bearing. Now depress the pedal until the clutch just engages. This is the point where the release bearing is just contacting the pressure plate fingers. If you begin to hear a squealing sound this is likely a worn release bearing. If a whirling noise is present when the clutch pedal is fully depressed it is probably the pilot bearing.

2001 ford escape makes a hissing and high pitched squealing sound when the brake pedal is released?

You need to have the brakes inspected. This noise is the brake pad wear warning tab hitting the brake rotor.;

Radiator fan stays on high so when driving it sounds like a bus have been told its a viscous fan so no wiring to activate it, and when i rev to hard you get a squealing as if the fan belt is slipping.

Fan clutch is defective. At high RPMs the fan is harder to spin, hence the squealing sound. Replace the fan clutch and you should be good to go.
