Does the pin at the end of this camshaft have anything to do with the timing? We have replaced the head gasket on a Hyundai Getz and the car will not start. We think the timing may be out but we don't

Have you pulled number one spark plug and verified that you are at TDC(top dead center). Make sure piston is at highest point. Check all timing marks. Also ensure that the chain guides are in place and functioning properly.

I have an '03 Hyundai Accent 1600cc. I am told by the techies at the local dealer, the fuel filter is ON the fuel tank. You gain access to it by removing the back seat, then opening the panel beneath the back seat. Replace the filter, screw the panel back onto the floor and the job is done....

Hi. Hyundai Getz We have skimmed head & block, pressure tested head & obviously replaced head gasket and bolts, torqued to the right settings and still leaking oil. Any advice? Charmaine South Africa

Looking at the above there are only two possibilities it was not installed correctly or there is a hairline crack in the head or block. Second thought, make very sure the oil is not coming from another source only showing between the head and block. Oil leaks can be very deceiving wrt where the actual leak is.

Hi my hyundai getz 1.4 Hs has oil in the spark plug 1.What could be the reason?

If the oil is on the exterior of the spark plug,replace the valve cover o rings between the valve cover and head.
Buying a valve cover gasket set should include the o rings.An easy job.

could be from a leaking rocker cover gasket at the end of the rocker shaft, loose rocker cover or oil filler cap not properly installed
check operation of the PCV valve to reduce crankcase pressure that may be contributing to the problem

camshaft is 90? to the right or 3 oclock position and the crank is between the 1 oclock and the 2 oclock ,look in them positions and you should see the marks none of the others need timing

How to change stop light globe on 2008 hyundai getz

Remove the two 10 mm (head) bolts that hold the stop light. This bolts are between the tail light assembly and the tail gate weatherstrip. You can see them without having to remove anything.

By using a masking tape wrapped flat screwdriver, pry "back" the whole tail light assembly. Once out, you can twist the brake light (or reverse, or turn signal) bulb plug, remove and replace the bulb.

The Getz uses standard two filament brake globes (1/4 turn to install).

My hyundai getz 1.4 has been pushing out the water from the radiator and the pipes are expanding with the pressure, how do i solve this problem?

Are the cooling fans coming on. Did the thermostat get changed. Also was the head checked for cracks. Water pump working.

I bought one with the same problem, the mechanic chaged: camshaft sensor (it was ok), the coil pack (was ok too), the pcmodule( ok too) the arness (ok) and did not start. I checked timing belt and was ok. but wen I did the compresion test , every cilynder was too low ( 10 30 an 0), my firsth idea was head gasket replecement,and wen was remooving the camshaft sprocket Bingo: the small pin was broken (that means that the camshaft sprocket was not align in time) Had to chage the head an the camshaft both in terrible shape. bad lobes and cam bearings worn out. wen I crancked it start at the first time. PD. the head wasnt craked, the head gasket was good too and the valves ok .
