I WOULD CHECK THE FUSES FIRST AND THEN IF STILL NOTHING PULL OUT THE LIGHTER AND CHECK THE WIRES PLUGGED INTO THE BACK OF IT IT SHOULD JUST SIMPLY POP OUT NO SCREW DRIVERS NEEDED.

I have a 2006 dodge ram 1500. I was driving and put my phone charger in the cigarette lighter to charge my phone and when I did my radio stopped working. When I got home I checked all fuses under hood...

there will be a fuse for the cigarette lighter socket probably in the accessories section fuse and should be about 20-25 amps. Check out the socket for a short or check the way you put the adaptor in the socket as a bit of misalignment will short out the centre point which is the live wire.

The likely solution is replacement of the cigarette lighter assembly.

Cone filter without a crank case ventilator adaptor

If you try a speed shop spares you may find an adaptor for this update . I would check very carefully the micro particle rating of the cone filter and if it is bigger particle than the original air filter I would bin it as it will damage the motor from dust that will get through it.. Looks "smick" but some are not practical

2000 year honda civic cigarette lighter not working

check the power in the lighter socket or the charger which is a small transformer has not failed . Try it in another car . If it works there then I would suspect a fuse for the lighter if there is no power there.. Make sure that the adaptor plug is tight as the 2 bars on the side are the earth for the adaptor and if not tight then there may be no earth . Use a flat bladed screw driver and bend the bars out a bit to increase tension in the socket.

Loosing power from batteries when parked.

check for something left on--boot light , phone charger adaptor--interior light. have a load test done on the battery and check for a failing cell as it may be discharging internally

Have a1995 Vanderbilt Plas with dead battery and cant get in trunk...help!!!

Get another battery and make an adaptor cable with clamps for the battery plots at one end and a lighter jack (like the ones for phone car chargers) at the other. Now connect the cable accordingly (the minus plot on the battery to the side contact on the jack) and plug it in the lighter socket - now you will have enough power to open the trunk. Don't try to start the motor this way, it will fry the entire wiring harness.

Any kind of charger that i attempt to plug into my cigarett lighter don't charge the devices, does this mean that the fuse has blown and needs replacing? thanks in advance!

The charger should have a light which shows that it has power. Check power at the socket by operating the cigarette lighter. If the lighter heats up you have power at the lighter. If not, locate the fuse box and check the lighter fuse. If the fuse is intact and you have power at the socket the charger is faulty.
Bear in mind chargers also have a fuse in the connector nose. Most unscrew at the nose and the fuse can be removed from the charger.
