Question about 2004 Jaguar S Type
I am confused, I went to the site that you provided me and put in my VIN to 2004 S type jaguar. If bluetooth not available, will it say so when VIN put it. It said that I have capability and my cellphone will work but when I tried to put in info on car keypad, nothing worked. You said that there should be a microphone on visor, I noticed several points where it looks like little speakers for cell phone but not sure about mic. I am really confused, I appreciate your help so much, but I dont know what else to do. any suggestions is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for your time
Just purchased X type 04 Phone buttons but no phone. spoke to dealer tell me it will cost £600 to have phone fitted Is this correct??

I have done a bit of research, your s type may not have the bluetooth fitted, here is a good site for any questions for your jaguar. http://forums.roadfly.com/forums/jaguar/jaguar_s_type/6924688-1.html
The link is a person who wants to add bluetooth to his jag, follow the thread it sounds like an expensive option$1500. Your phone maybe compatible bit only if you have the option fitted.
hope this helps

Tips for a great answer:
Many of the earlier jaguars cars will have the pre-wiring installed but not the phone option. If you have Bluetooth installed. Hold the radio button marked with a phone for about a second, the display will change to indicate xxxxx or 'No Phone'. If the latter is the case then it is most likely that you do not have the option installed
Based on your VIN number, your car has the wiring to implement the bluetooth module. The Jaguar part number is C2N 3689, but please check with your dealer to confirm that it is possible.
Please accept the solution if it's helpful to you and get back with us for any further query.
