I have 97 silverado. 5.0 vortex with code p1345 changed crank position sensor camshaft position and done a tune up. Why would this code still be on and still have a bad misfire

This code usually sets if a distributor has been istalled incorretly (a tooth or so off)..
Have you had the distributor removed recently or before the code started showing up?

Also, once the problem is fixed the computer will have to monitor it for a while before it turns off the check engine light.(or you can get someone with a scan tool to turn it off for you.

Pull number one plug out, put your finger over the cyclinder hole, have someone bump motor over untill the pistion pushes air out..now the crankshaft should be close too O. Put distributor in and point rotor to number one plug...

Where is cranshaft position senser on 97 nissan pathfinder

The Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) is mounted on the top of the transmission bell housing. Assuming you are talking about the 3.3L V6.
The crank position sensor (ckp) is located at the back of the motor, driver's side, mounted to the transaxle housing. It gets it's single from the flywheel teeth. First unplug it and then remove the retaining bolt and pull it up and out. Reverse precedure to install.

The problem that I am having is that the car will turn over but will not catch what do you think might be wrong and also were is the fuel filter located on that model car.

You might want to check the crankshaft and camshaft sensers, there has been issues with the factory ones over heating and shorting out. With out the sensers the engine wont run.But remember you need to replace both crankshaft and camshaft. F.Y.I the camshaft and crankshaft are the same so dont worry about getting them mixed up.

Camshaft position sensor

The camshaft position sensor is usually located on the cylinder head near the camshaft. It may be under the timing cover. It has a small plug and the sensor is where the plug is plugged on.
