2005 PT Cruiser no crank

sounds like the crank position sensor. check continuity and 5volts reference at sensor. you can have it checked by someone with a Good scanner(SNAP-ON). If it happens to start up,drive the car till it wont start up again; unplug the crank position sensor and count to 5 then plug it back in. If it starts then its the crank sensor.(just a quick way to test it and get you home or to a shop)

How many miles on it. As simple as New plugs, wires (if any) fuel filter. Until more info is provided that would be my answer.

I have a 2005 PT Cruiser, when it was cold, my car wouldn't start without being jumped. I do use a heater) When I had the car jump started, it ran ok, but when I turned it off, it wouldn't start again. I...

Hi Isabel. I think you have a bad battery. The reason the lights can come on but the car still not start is that the lights take much less energy than the starter. I'd be very careful jump starting a modern vehicle as it's extremely easy (and expensive) to damage the car's computer. If your car still has its original battery, this would be the first thing I'd replace.

Good Luck.

Engine starves for fuel after running about 50 miles or so...

Has Neon do same, I ran fuel at low level, on hot day, ran engine until it started to act up & threw a fuel pressure gauge on it. Was at approx 5 psi. Cold next morning, 48-50 psi. Always hot day about 30-40 miles into work in morning, o.k. Sit in hot sun all day & would happen 3-4 times on way home. Sit and let cool, 20 minutes or so & go again for a while. Cool day, no problem. Change pump I would.

Replace your Fuel Filter. Sounds exactly like you have Contaminated Gas and the Filter has caught the Most of it and has Gotton Clogged.
