P0183 = Fuel temperature sensor A circuit, high input

P0455 = evaporative emission (EVAP) control system leak detected (no purge flow or large leak)

P0463 = fuel level sensor circuit, high input.

Check to see if the charcoal (evap) canister is full of fuel. If so, empty it. Check for a faulty canister vent valve. Check for a short to ground in wiring to fuel temp sensor and fuel level sensor.

Po463 po183 nissan versa

code p 0183 refers to fuel temperature sensor A --high input===causes --wiring short to positive ---fuel temp sensor--ECM
code p 0463 refers to fuel tank level sensor --high input===causes --wiring short to positive fuel tan level sensor ---ECM
if the temp sender and the fuel level sensor ( both located in the same fitting in the tank)are in the same wiring harness then there may be a connection as the wiring short to positive is common
check for the harness rubbed through somewhere causing the problem or an after market screw screwed into the harness some where

How do i fix my 2002 Altima that will not start?

Depends on the make but most likely i would say it is a bad connection, so i would check to see if the wires are possibly damaged. The two codes dont really relate problamatically.

If you have a volt meter you can check to see if the connections are grounded or damaged. I would start there. If you dont have a volt meter a cheap one is about 20$ and you can find on youtube how to use it.

I got a diagnostics reading for my 1996 subaru legacy outback and got codes po183. got any answers for me?

P0183 Subaru - Fuel Temperature Sensor 'A' Circuit High Input ' Add Comment
Possible causes
- Faulty Fuel Temperature Sensor
- Fuel Temperature Sensor harness is open or shorted
- Fuel Temperature Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
What does this mean?
When is the code detected?
An excessively high voltage from the sensor is sent to ECM.
Possible symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
P0183 Subaru Description
The fuel tank temperature sensor is used to detect the fuel temperature inside the fuel tank. The sensor modifies a voltage signal from the ECM. The modified signal returns to the ECM as the fuel temperature input. The sensor uses a thermistor which is sensitive to the change in temperature. The electrical resistance of the thermistor decreases as temperature increase

this sensor is in the fuel tank on the fuel pump assembly. If you look under the carpet behind the rear passenger seat, you should see a sort of rectangular access cover. Underneath this cover is the connector to the fuel pump. Make sure that all looks good. Could just be a bad connection. Sometimes when you have the fuel filter replaced a place will unhook this connector. When it's reconnected it might not be fully seated or have a bent pin or something

Idles rich, lacks power

po463 is the fuel level sensor. the oxygen sensors are the ones that send a signal to the computor to adjust the rich/lean fuel mixture. Have them checked.
