SOURCE: Brake? Problem with 01 Saab 9.3

to begin i dont know what it means to say expensive or not how ever, all the lights at the same time could only mean one thing the problem could be in one of the diodes in your alternator is bad thus turning on all the lights on the dash board,

now regarding your brakes especially on saab;s shake or vibration is caused by uneven surface on the brake rotors (usualy the front) my suggestion is to replace the front rotors and the brake pads at the same time.

SOURCE: speedometer not working and check engine light is

My son's 1998 9-5 had similar issues after we had rebuilt the callipers and had a general refurbishment of the front hub. No amount of bleeding the brakes or checking components resolved the problem. We were resigned to taking it in for a diagnostic report but found that after driving a short distance the warning lights disappeared despite having previously run the car in drive with the front wheels raised which was when we noticed the lack of speedo.
My guess, and had been a bit of hope, is that the system needed to recalibrate after all the work we had done. Perhaps it hadn't liked the front wheels turning whilst the back remained stationary - whatever.

Starter/steering column issues

There are 3 components which must align to make the starter work. Check your Brake lights and see if they work, because the brake pedal must be pressed to send a signal to the starter solenoid. At the top of the brake pedal lever, this switch is often bumped by Drivers' feet. The other 2 alignments are the gearshift and the Ignition keyswitch.
Some of the Ignition keyswitches are made with a slotted mount and you adjust the rod length by sliding the mount to where it works and tightening it down.
The transmission cable/rod must position the assembly in Park.
The idea overall is that they want to stop runaways. The system verifies the Brake pedal is pressed, the vehicle is in Park, before allowing the Ignition key to turn or send a start signal.

Make sure your steering wheel isn't locked. Sometimes a key won't turn until you jiggle the wheel while trying to turn the key.

Key won;t go into ignation on my 2002 buick park ave

It is possible that the tumblers in the ignition need lubrication. I had this problem with a boat ignition. Spray a small amount of break free, or WD 40 or graphite penetrating oil into the slot and slowly work the key gently into it. A drop of oil in the slots of the key won't hurt.

Done cars have a kill switch if they are low on oil. Check your oil. If the oil is good, it may be the ignition switch.

I changed the key batteries for my 1999 BMW 323i after they died. Afterwards the remote unlock and lock won't work, the car also won't start but it can turn over/on and the radio and the lights...

stick the key in the ignition, turn it to the on position, remove it within 5 seconds, then hold the unlock button down and press the lock button 3 times within 10 seconds and release both buttons. The doors should lock/unlock to give you confirmation and your key should work.

Key wont comeout of the ignition switch, do i need a new switch?

First, spray a bunch of WD-40 into the key cylinder -- use the red tube which comes with the can to do this -- put something on the floor to catch the oil dripping down.

This has a good chance of solving your problem. After a couple of days, buy some graphite lubricant (Pep Boys) to blow into the key cylinder. Repeat the graphite every month or so for 6 months.
