SOURCE: how to remove the left front door panel on my 2006 Buick Lucerne

Hi Dear Lov, Remove the plugs from the arm rest and behind them there will be deep seated screws. Push in a long screw driver and remove them. Next lift the window control buttons and when removed from the housings disconnect the electrics. (Keep the switches handy) next take a flat blade tool and starting at the bottom of the door, insert the blade between the panel and the door and gently pull the blade towards you. When the studs pop move to the next until all are released. Lift the panel off and then refit the switch to the cables. Reach inside the door and feel for the operating rods which extend from the handle to the latch mechanism. at each end you will feel plastic clips which will rotate away from the rods when pushed in the same plain. These clips beak easily so be careful. It is worth getting a mirror and flash light and studying them before trying to release them. Check both sides as the mechanism may be different at each end. Once disconnected you will notice two hole opposite the exterior door handle, through which a socket spanner fitted to an extension will fit. Remove the nuts and then remove the handle from the outside. When fitting everything back together make sure the rods are correctly fitted. You may find you need to lift or lower the window, or maybe remove it completely to do the job. Regards John

How to replace a headlamp bulb on 07 buick lucerne

My info says, you have to remove headlamp assembly to replace bulbs. The info says to remove headlamp assembly, you have to remove front bumper fascia.

I can give text and pictures, but, if you had a repair manual, you would have the info right there with you. If you reached a sticking point, I wouldn't be able to help, because I can't see anything from here. You may need a helper to help remove fascia.

Your local auto store may be able to get a manual for you? Maybe amazon.com or ebay.com

If you wonder why in the world would you have to remove front bumper fascia to replace headlamp bulbs, well, I wonder the same thing. If you see a better way to do it, so much the better, use your best judgment. The info is from my database.

Replace 2006 buick lucerne passenger headlight

I have replaced headlights on my 2006 Lucerne. I tried the cheater ways but there was no getting past taking the front end off. The front end is held together with plastic rivets (5ZLY9) from Grainger there are three screws 10mm that hold the lights in and two screws that hold the bumper up besides the rivets. Take it all off and the bumper comes off exposing the headlights. I replaced ALL the bulbs since there was so much work involved.

2008 Buick Lucerne...water in spare tire compartment

to fix this problem with my 2007 buick lucerne I had to take off the bumper and then remove the old seal on the body under this bumper and reseal it. it was not the trunk seal and nor was it coming from the lights or anything else. it was this seal that you cannot see unless you remove the bumper.

Low beam on head light wont work

you may have a blown bulb. Believe it or not, Buick recomends the removal of the front bumper facia in order to remove the headlight assembly to change the bulb. you can however remove the air box where the air filter is located and squeeze your hand in there and change the drivers side bulb. It's allmost imposible to change the passanger side however. Good Luck
