SOURCE: engine management light on Fault code found p1646

P1646 is a faulty heater circuit on bank 1 upstream o2 sensor. If you have the V6 2.5 petrol engine, then bank 1 is the exhaust manifold nearest the bulkhead ( firewall if you in the states). Replace the upstream o2 sensor. Cost around £70from dealer...not available elsewhere.

SOURCE: citroen c3 error code a17

The engine and transmission in this cars drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPEDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

Just Google the codes one at a time, use this as a search "GM OBD2 fault code" then follow that with the codes one by one.

Is there vacuum line to winshield washer?

Carlos, No vacuum line to washers, the rubber hoses look just like a lot of vacuum lines and could be mistaken.
error code P0155 is Heated Oxygen Sensor fault, Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1.
Around 98% of the time, you can assume correctly, without any specific testing, that a new O2 sensor is in order and will solve the problem.

Code p0130 & p0150

codes 130 and 150 indicate a malfunction in the upstream oxygen sensor circuit which is affecting both oxygen sensors. This fault does not directly pinpoint the o2 sensors as defective, more diagnosis must be performed to get to the root of the problem. You could have a condition where power is not reaching the sensors, causing them to appear dead. There may be a fuel or airflow related issue causing the sensors to report abnormal readings.

To answer your question, the o2 sensors in question are between the engine and the cat convertor in the exhaust. Whether or not changing them blindly will fix your problem is another question.

Check engine light on and cruise light is blinking at the same time

the engine light is on because something has gone wrong in the engine management system. Run the fault codes and you may have a code for each fault.

Engine managment light flashes (glow plugs light)

the car is going into limp mode due to an engine management fault. have to check what the fault is with a code reader. if the milage is high 100,000+ could be a turbo fault (overboosting), as this will put the car into limp mode.

I have a jaguar 2003 that have a check engine light on. I have change the O2 sensor bank 2 but the light is still on. The vehicle is driving fine.

I assume you have cleared all the fault codes (eg. P0150 - P0167) and the Jaguar generic code (eg: P1000)?

Often the problem is that you know you have fitted the part - but the car's computers don't know and so they have to be 'told'.

Clearing the DTC codes is relatively easy with a decent Code Reader (EOBD CAN) but the Jaguar Generic code is sometimes not so easy as there is a road test sequence that often has to be performed before the 'Engine Light' (MIT) goes out permenantly.

A local MOT Garage often has a Code Reader gadjet and charges around a modest £30 to sort it.
