I found that it is embarrassingly obvious once you get the parts and place them in position. Each belt only fits the appropriate pulley in width and length. When the belt breaks there's no visual reference (as one would have if he replaced the belts before they broke!) if the belt diagram is worn off the hood. Lesson learned; replace belts- a simple task- before they break!

check the brake switch, you might need a wiring diagram to see exactly how the wiring is, but that is a possibility or it could aslo be the flasher

did you check the float inside the master cylinder reservoir or check the limit switch for the e-brake lever to make sure it is making full contact?

Look for bulb and grounding problems. Running lights, with poor ground would feed current back through brake light system and can kick it out...
