Just take a screw driver and pop of the ignition and then take a smaller screw driver and place it inside there should be a slot that you can access at this point...good luck.

I got a 1992 Toyota four runner that the key broke off in and I busted the hole housing up getting the tumbler out and all that is there now is the wires. How do I hot wire it

It can and can't be hot wired. It can because you can fix the wires. It can't because you still need the chip to clear security. The chip can be fused into the wires. Go to alldatadiy .com and buy the program for your car to figure out your wiring.

Key wont turn on 98 dodge plymoth van

If the key will not turn the tumbles inside the lock cylinder are jambed. Usually this happens to people with an over abundance of keys on the same key ring. The weight will wear out the tumblers prematurely. A new lock cylinder is the only solution you will haver to repair this

Ignition key wont turn on 2000 plymouth voyager

I don't believe there is a way you can start it without turning the tumbler on the key switch. You also have a locking steering wheel which would also have to be disabled in order to drive it.

How do we remove then replace the tumbler unit?

basically, hacksaw off the old casing, and replace with a new one, complete with key etc. it will come with "shear bolts" that will shear off the heads when tightened to the correct torque.

Ingnition tumbler broke cant start

If the key won't start it; it might not be the key ignition, but rather; the ignition that has a stem that goes from the key ignition down on the steering colunm. However, you can get key ignitions for them, or buy the whole steering colum then take the key ignition out of it. But, I would suggest more information is needed before I can conclude that it is just the key ignition. Hope this help~!
