SOURCE: 1992 Isuzu Rodeo Distributor wires 3.1L engine

Hi,
Isuzu seem to have complicated things by changing engines, firing orders and even direction of rotation! As you can see, they've numbered the cylinders the other way than the 3.2L.

The Firing sequence for the 3.1 (traditional distributor) 6 cylinder is as follows -

d6e5b2a.jpg

If you take the distributor cap off, there should be a "No.1" formed on the inside. Stick a lead on this before you put the cap back on and go from there.
As leads are different lengths, you may have to swap a few to find the best fit.

I think 2 of them will look out of place - but that's the way it's designed. Just make use of clips for holding them neatly.

Thanks for using Fixya.

HI......
OK. just follow the number on the ignition coils.
And the number on the cylinders are.
The FIREWALL side are 1,3,5, Starting from the belts location.
The RADIATOR side are 2,4,6, Starting from the belts location.
The coil with number 1 go to cylinder 1. as the same way the rest of the coils and cylinders.

OK... I hope this solve your question .

What is the plug wiring order for a 2.8 87 camaro

your firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6, with the #1 cylinder being passenger side, front of engine (fan end), with 3 and 5 towards the firewall. 2-4-6 from front to firewall on drivers side. The #1 spark plug wire should go on the post of the distibutor pointing towards the #1 cylinder from the center of the cap, and then #2 is next in a clockwise motion, with 3, 4, etc. Hope this helps! chevy 2.8, good-day !

3.1 firing order 95 camaro

according to GM they did not put a 3.1L in a 1995 camaro, they used a 3.4L now the 1994 used a 3.1L but it makes no difference they both have the same firing order 1 2 3 4 5 6 easy. but i think what you want is the location of the spark plug wires on the coil packs.

first off lets talk about cylinder placement passenger side from front to back 1 3 5 driver side from front to back 2 4 6

OK, now the coil pack from the end with 2 plug ins 1 4 6 3 2 5

good luck...thanks for using fixya

Don't know which cylinders are which in a 2001 Camaro V6 3.8L, so not sure if my spark plugs wires are connected right. Wondering if anyone knew where I could find a diagram or something. I have been...

Standing in front of your car, looking at your engine, starting from the front and going back, the ones on your right (driver side) are 1, 3, 5 and the ones on your left are 2, 4, 6. This is standard. The firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2. Hope this helps. If not, write back.
