mini cooper 2005 s convertible.I push the button and hear a noise cile a cable that may not be connectec or brocken so it does not engage and lower the top.But that's just my guess

often times this problem ends up needing a front sunroof section of the conv top replaced. The cable that drives the hooks to unlatch is most likely broken and that is currently the only fix. EXPENSIVE. Sorry
