The battery to get drain means that you have a power leak somewhere. Check sometimes the light in the boot still on as the off switch is faulty or the door is not closing it. What to do first remove the bulb for a night and on next day starts fine the repair the fault. Also sometimes light might still on current to a very low power where is not spot as it happened to me on a customer Alfa Romeo 147,having power leak on the rear left light very low currency and how spotted, left in a very dark place and noticed. If you think is rather difficult to do something take it to an expert electrician to check every close reason for power leak.

Electrical battery drain

This model has issues with the security system. You might try pulling fuse 2, but make sure the turn signals still work without that fuse.

I had a new battery installed after the old one kept going flat after not being driven for 24 hours, now the new one goes flat after not being driven for 10-12 hours! An audi specialist garage have tested...

You'll have a parasitic power drain.
Not uncommon in modern heavily electronic cars.
There are several modules in a modern car operating various items of equipment.
The dash of the A4 will house the immobiliser amongst other things.
There may well be a module not going into "sleep" mode after car shut down. It will need repair or replacement to sort it out.

My Audi A4 has a lot of water holding around the battery area, there should be a drainhole for this compartment but where?

There is. At the lowest point of that front section underneath the windshield, behind the engine, where the battery sits. If the water hasn't been sitting too long, try a long wand with 100 psi compressed air and put it low in the compartment, aiming at the center, just to the driver's side of the battery. When you see it drain water from about the middle of the car, your victory has begun. If this doesn't work, you get to remove the battery, shovel out whatever you've got there, etc.

2005 audi a6 lights on dash lights up but want turn over

Your battery is probably bad. There may be enough power to light the dash and run some other electrical bits but the starter requires a lot of voltage. Try jumpstarting the car, if it starts then it's your battery that is drained. If it's more than 8 years old it should probably be replaced.

My audi won't start up so I found out the battery was bad and I just put a brand new battery in it and it ran for 3 days and now its doing the same thing again what else could it be?

check that the alternator is able to charge. if the alternator cannot charge the battery, it will go dead. if the alternator is okay, google ´¨finding parasitic battery drains¨. it may be that something is draining the battery even when the key is off.

Audi A4 tail lights come on at night and drain my battery

its the sensor in the brake pedal, happens mostly at cold nights since cold weather loosens up the pedal it causes the pedal to go down by itself if like you were braking, I used to roll up the matt and put it underneath the pedal and that would put pressure upwards while i was researching on how to do it myself found out is complicated and decided to take it to the mechanic for a 200$ fix.

Battery dies on 2003 A4 audi

HI there,

I had the same problem with mine. Managed to determine that it was the rear brake light switch that caused a short. This meant that once the car was turned off power was being drained. We thought it might be the computer module shutting down which can take up to 10/30 minutes. But No. Replaced with a new Brake Light Switch, Problem Solved
