May be a fuse, May be the wiper switch. You could pull off the wiper motor connector and check for power present, when key is on and wiper switch is on. If no power, check for a blown fuse, or the wiper switch may need looking at to see if power is getting to the switch.
If you do have power at the motor, and still no go, it is probably the ground for the wiper motor.
Good luck.

SOURCE: Windshield Wipers

Under the cowl (it is a plastic piece that the windshield wipers come out of) are the wiper arms that connect to the wiper motor. There are plastic parts that hold the wiper arms to the wiper motor. Lots of time these plastic parts dry out and break and the wiper arm will fall off the wiper motor. I would bet if you tried to move one of the wipers by hand both of them would move with little resistance. This would tell me that the wiper arms are disconnected from the wiper motor. The parts to fix this are easy to get. I know the motormite HELP line of parts used to have the plastic bushings to fix this problem.

SOURCE: wipers stopped working, but can still hear the

Hey,
The earing that connects the wiper arm to the motor is ground down. You need to replace the wiper arms or the motor depending on which "gears" are ground down. The wiper motor is here:

Wiper arm here:

Hope this helps!

I have a 1999, Chev Venture. The wipers quit working, but i can still hear and see the motor run. Will i need to replace the motor or is there a fix for this?

My guess would be something broke in the linkage between the motor and the blades/arms. You may have to remove the blades and pull off the trim panel to find out.

Windscreen wipers on my renault clio have stopped working i can hear motor when i turn them on but wipers do not move

If you can hear the wiper motor running but have no wiper movement, it is quite likely the linkage has failed. It will be necessary to gain access to the wiper motor to determine what repairs are necesary

Wipers stopped working

Either the wiper motor burned out or wiper linkage broke or is loose. When you turn the wipers on if you hear the motor then it's the linkage. If you hear nothing, the motor is bad

Chevy S-10 1994 Wipers don't work at all...cruise works, turn signals work, but no wipers. Fuse is fine

Park you car in a quite location.

Engine off

Turn wiper to high and listen for the motor rotation noise near the firewall (near the bottom of the windshield)

If you hear the motor rotation noise and the wipers are not moving then it's the linkage and/or the motor clutch.

Get to it ASAP. A loose bolt connection can damage the linkage arm or clutch.

It's time consuming to replace these hard to reach park.

Wipers wont work

1.  Turn on your wipers and pop your hood.   2.  If you hear you wiper motor, then you do not need to check your fuses. 3.  If your wiper arms are moving freely, then your linkage from the wiper arms to the motor is disconnected and possibly broken.   4.  If the problem is electrical, do the following:      1.  Check the fuse, and check for power at the fuse.      2.  Check the wiper motor for ground. For a complete circuit, you need power going in and ground               coming out.  Check electrical connections for corrosion or poor connections.       3.  Get a wiring schematic and trace power to the wiper motor starting at the fuse box in the                       following order:           Fuse box           wiper switch           wiper motor      4.  In the rarest of cases a wiper motor or wiper switch is at fault.  I do not recommend replacing                 anything unless you have proof that the part is faulty. (ie. power going into the switch but nothing           coming out.)
