thanks as for the warning lights . the glow plug light comes on as does the engine management light

Since you have warning light s coming on it is now easy to have access to the fault - since the engine light comes on- using a scanner ( fault finder ) to diagnose the system, wher surely is going to give you a fault. Probably a ground wire will be either loose or bad contact. But for sure scan it.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector. Let it sit for atleast 5mins. before reconnecting. This will reset the system and can get your car back to it's normal operation.
If the problem still persists, I suggest that you tighten the body grounds specially the negative battery connector. Loosen body grounds can result to loss of power.
Hope this helps and thank you for using Fixya! Have a good one!

Hi all I have a problem with my hyundai tucson 2l diesel crdi 2005 and she won't start when it is cold but when it starts up after spraying it with quick start she will start again changed glow plugs

make sure that the battery is fully charged as diesels need a fast cranking speed to heat the air sufficient to burn the diesel fuel
If the glo-plugs are working ( check relay ) the the next thing is to have the injectors reconditioned as they need to atomize the fuel and not squirt it
Because diesels are compression ignition diesels and inflammable product introduced into the inlet manifold will ignite well before the correct ignition position of the piston and will result in a destroyed motor so fix the fault and leave the quick-start on the shelf

I have a 1993 Chevy Z71 Automatice with Overdrive Upon excelleration it hesitates to shift but if I left off the gas and try again it works.

Normaly overdrive kicks in from 55 to 60 m.p.h. it sounds like its the tps, throttle positioning sensor.

it's attached to the left side of the carburetor passenger side, on a diesel same side. if the tps gets

loose, gets water in it or is bad you will have a problem shifting to overdrive. If you have done any

kind of engine work. and if it was removed it will need to be adjusted.good luck!

The starters on the Diesels are pretty heavy duty so unless the bolts or a wire is coming loose I would rule out "going bad already" Other issue would be if you put in a used one 3 weeks ago.
Take note how the ignition feels when you turn the key, if you wiggle it and turn it slowly just right does it help ? The contacts in the back of the switch may be wearing out.
I hope this helps

My honda civic start normaly, but after few minute start losing power

Several causes possible.
Carburattor or injection type?
Carburator >> auto choke faulty.
Carburator >> mixture very wrong adjusted
Drawning carburator (needle/floater)
Distributor weights cannot move (dirt/rust spring broken)
Very dirty airfilter, or clogged airfilter
Faulty ignition cap. Check contacts, especially middle one if oldfashioned and nonelectronical.
Ignition timing set incorrectly.
Fuel pump broken.
Fuel filter blocked almost.
Vacuum line damaged.
Exhaust internally clogged by loose plate (corrossion) (potato in tailpipe effect).
And very seldom, water or diesel.

And a list of a lot of other things.
