Are there any codes. sounds like you are not getting enough spark. meaning a weak ignition coil or your fuel pressure regulator is bad and sending to much fuel

The car is not here right now, but I will re-scan it for codes again. I have replaced the ignition coil(after market brand) all Oxygen sensors, plugs and wires, but still has the same issues. I am leaning toward the fuel pressure regulator.

2002 ford taurus smell gas when the outside temperature is over 80 degrees

Fuel tanks have a vent tube and a charcoal cannister to capture the gas fumes from the tank. It's possible there is a cracked or loose hose, faulty fuel cap, bad canister or a fuel leak and any one of many connections. Investigate for sign of raw fuel along the underside of te vehicle, and in the engine compartment. Attempt to follow the smell to isolate the location of a leak.

Sounds like it could be a faulty fuel pressure regulator.Pull the vacuum hose off the regulator and if raw fuel runs out then your regulator needs replace.

If you're smelling unburnt gasoline, then it sounds like you're not getting fire to all cylinders. Not sure if your car has coil paks or distributor, but which ever it has, I would check to make sure all cylinders are firing. You can do this by starting the engine and pulling the wires off the coil paks/distributor one at a time. Listen and watch for any change or variation in the running of the motor. If it trys to die out then that plug is getting fire. If nothing changes in the way the motor runs, then it's a good possibility that that cylinder isn't firing. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you had a fuel line break. Turn the car on until it stops. Try to follow the smell. Back or underneath or front. Look for pools of fuel. Inspect the top of the engine, fuel lines, rails and injectors.

Replace the crank sensor on your car. The crank sensor tells when the plugs should fire. When it decides to go bad, the cylinders will overly fuel themselves because it's not firing at the right time creating your fuel smell.
