Question about 1996 Dodge Ram
We have had 4 computers replaced in this truck and they last maybe 45 days or so then it over charges the battery. We can't keep puttig in computers. Any suggestions?
Check the starter . the wire that goes from alternator to battery runs by there

A lot of Chrysler products have the voltage regulator in the computer. I would check the charging system wiring first for poor connections and if nothing else is found there is nothing else for you to do but change it.

Regulator in alternator obviously faulty, have it bench tested & fixed or replace alternator, and cure your problem.
