Question about 2004 Saab 9-3

1 Answer

I have a 2004 saab 9-3 aero and my door open warning light is on and it kills the battery. Any suggestions?

Is there a proximity switch that could be bad some where in the door? when i disconnect the harness at the door the warning light goes off so I think the problem is in the door.

Think it works off the door lock on this car so if you can find the correct wire then cut it this will cure the problem

SOURCE: trying to find thermostat on a 2000 Saab 9-5 Aero turbo

Most thermostats are located at the engine end of the upper rad hose. Rarely some thermostats are at the engine end of the lower rad hose but unlikely. Certain VW's have that distinction.Let me know if this helps.Moe

Had same problem, in the boot right hand side, behind the removable panel there is :
1 - a hydraulic reservoir which must be at correct level.
2 - a black box (stc) this controls the roof system,
switch ignition off then pull the 2 connectors off for 30sec then reconnect.
This worked and hope this resolves your problem

I have a 2004 Saab Aero 9-3 vert. Got a new battery over the winter and now the top does not work. Help?

The "top"? Convertible top? I would check the fuses first as it is always possible to blow a fuse when a battery is connected (or disconnected).

2004 Saab 9-3 Aero. Coolant tank and car beginning to not start.

coolant is what makes the car keep cool. it wouldnt keep it from running. sounds like a gas problem. check the fuel pressure and check all the fuel compartments. take it to a mechanic.. not Saab. they will do it for cheap maybe nothing.

Top lowering problem on 2004 Saab Aero Convertible

I have a 2004 Saab 9-3 Arc convertible that had the same problem. The spring on the hinge assembly for the package shelf latch assembly was broken. The part itself is over $300. If you have someone remove the spring, your top will work again. You'll just have to put up with the top shelf hanging down in your trunk about 1 foot, but you can still manually move it to place things inside like your luggage or golf clubs.
