Dont quote me on this but i think their should be a spring inside the centrifugal clutch that pushes the gear back against the housing but a nice copper washer like you suggest will do the trick ,but the amount of movement is negligable as once the clutch engages it will not move so check the chain tension

The mechanic told me there is a heavy leakage on my corolla's chain tensioner. Do I need to replace it right away? how much will it cost me?

if this is in fact the problem then yes you need to change this as soon as possible. The chain tensioner tensions the timing chain inside your engine. If there is too much slack in the chain, it can slip a couple teeth in its gears or possibly even fall off or break! If this occurs it will be time for a new engine. It will be pretty expensive, around 1000 bucks or more. But it could cost 2 or 3 times as much if left alone. My best advise would be to find a friend or family member who can do this for cheaper. It is a pretty intense job so the average person may not want to try this. I hope this helps! Vote yes if so. Thanks!

My steering wheel is really loose and feels like its going to fall of i thought i need a new steering colomn but i cant find one for my type of car

Hello, the common problem is that the bolt get loose and start falling out. You need to disassemble steering column and remove bolts one at a time and use lock tight when installing the bolts, its takes about two hours to do the work, usually no parts are needed, the engine does not have a timing belt, it uses a timing chain that is oil lubricated.

How do I know when to change timing chain on 2006 xterra?

You change timing belts,not chains

All nissan trucks has chain issues until last fall 2009, when the factory installed an updated chain on most 2010's.

If it gets really noisy, then the new chain and tensioners will be needed. And NO, Nissan will NOT stand behind ANYTHING AT ALL. Your on your own.

ALSO - Buy an aftermarket new radiator IMMEDIATELY and install it as fast as you can.
Read the blogs, 2nd Gen Nissan truck 2005,2006,2007 and maybe 2008 have bad radiators from the rad mfg.

I have had a problem with my timing chain, I have replaced it twice and I am still having the same problem, what is going on?

I dont think a timing chain can make that sound "like a jet'.. When a timing chain goes bad - it will either fall of the gears or make a clanking sound..

The sound you describe seems as though it might be vacuum related or exaust or intake - somthing of that nature.

Timing chain alignment 1999 ford explorer sohc

not true. SOHC 4.0 tensioner and rails fall apart, allowing the chain to slap and do damage, or even break. book it. in order to replace rioght side cam chain and tensioner, the engine MUST BE REMOVED! if it has balance shaft chain in oil pan, there are a total of four chains in this engine.

2003 Nissan Maxima Timing Chain

You can wait its just fine, However if you ever start to notice oil leaking from front cover, then you will need to change. If there is no loss in power feel sluggish especially on take off, Its almost impossible for these type of chains to break. So enjoy until the wheel fall good luck
