Question about 2001 Dodge Stratus

Open Question

The power windows on my 2001 Dodge Stratus do not work.

The windows all quit working at the same time. I replaced the OEM Power Window Master Control Switch and the power window breaker in the fuse box but the windows still will not work. How can I fix this problem or trouble shoot to find out what is wrong?

The switch itself may be faulty. Have you tested it with an ohmmeter? Have you tested power to the passenger switch with a voltmeter?

SOURCE: 06 DODGE STRATUS WINDOWS INOP, NO POWER TO FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER

If no power to the fuse panel for that fuse and circuit breaker, you may have a maxi-fuse burnt out in the power distribution box by or near the battery. Check all your fuses under the hood.

I have power but none of the window go up or down

If you have power to the master switch, the switch it self could be bad. Usually the drivers window is the first to quit. the others work. If none are working, the window lock could be set or broken also. Stat with the drivers door window and manually apply power to the window motor. If it works fine replace the master switch

2005 Dodge stratus power windows

Less tan aceptable quality components were used by Chrysler on the Cloud cars (Stratus, Cirrus, Sebring) Much better iones were used in the previous Spirit, Reliant, LeBaron models. To help, you need to maintain clean all the window guides and cranck mecanism, properly lubricated and adjusted to reduce binding and sticking, which will burn out the cheap motors. Check proper voltage reaching the motors and very importantly, the ground return.

I have a 2001 camry the power windows quit working but the locks do

Hi,
This is usually cause through a central switch system which is the master window control on the drivers side.
Have the drivers window control assembly checked and tested, it may need replacing.
Thanks

All power windows stopped working on 2004 Dodge Stratus at the same time, what is the problem?

First check all of your fuses to make sure that they are good and also check the power window relay or power window circuit breaker. If they are all good the most likely cause will be the master window switch that is located on the drivers front door. If you had a schematics you could check to see if you are getting power feed into the master window switch. You should also check for proper ground connections. Hope this helps.
