SOURCE: Removing the radio.

You should be able to see two (2) small grooves on the face of your VW radio, one on each side of the radio. You will need to insert a small flat tool into both slots simultaneously to release the radio from it's cradle. A small flat head screwdriver might actually work.

Depending upon the radio being installed, it might actually fit into the existing cradle, or you may have to partially disassemble the dash in order to switch cradles.

How to wire pioneer deh-150mp to my 2000 kia sephia

Best bet is to purchase an wiring harness adapter. It will plug into the car harness then you attach each wire from the adapter to the appropriate wire on the radio ( available online from ebay, amazon, sonic electronix, Metra online and dozens more or from any car audio store, most auto parts stores and even walmart). If you already cut the factory plug off in the car then go to they have an excellent resource of which wire does what...however you should verify that info yourself with a volt ohm meter.

I'm trying to install a pioneer deh-1100 into a 2002 chevy impala... have all wires connected, amp is on, but deck will not cut on

On pioneers, i know that some of them, you have to twist the yellow AND red wires together on the power from your car. Make sure you are grounded. Radio fuse isnt blown, or any fuse on the back of the deck.

the problem is you dont have the battery wire on the radio hooked up to a 12v constant. it sounds like you have to take the battery wire of the radio and hook it up to a wire that stays 12v all the time even when the car is off.

No you have to find out which wire is the hot 12v to the old radio. and connect it to the red 12gage wire coming from the new radio. also you could try buying a connection plug from circuit city so there is no wire cutting involved, also the old fuse could be blowen.
