this is caused by slow engine idle speed, do the procedure below.
Here is the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

triple squares are what the center bolt uses you need a small flat hbladfe to remove air bag there are 2 hole at 9 and 3 on backside of steering wheel get screw driver in there and move until you feel springs put pressure on spring you can only do one at atime so be carefull no to push bag back on once that is off uno bolt steering wheel will slide right off

The easiest way to reset the computer coding system is to unhook your battery and let it sit for 3-5 minutes. If the code comes back on after starting your car then whatever is causing the code is still happening.
Beware that you will most likely need to know the code to unlock your radio if it has the theft protection built in where if power is unhooked from the radio the radio is locked until you follow the procedure outlined in your owners manual with a code to get it back working. If you don't have the code, your Volkswagen dealer can help you out as well.

bleed out the clutch fluid, to the slave cylinder, it uses the same fluid as in the brake system and takes it from the brake fluid resevour, so dont let it drain low- keep toping it up as you bleed the clutch line, if problem still persists, you must be sure you put the clutch friction plate in the right way.

I know GM decided to run the brakes and power steering vacumm all off of the power steering pump on some of their trucks. This could really be a big problem because if your power steering quit it would stop supplying your brakes with vacuum to stop the truck. In my experience I would check out the situation with the steering pump. Change it for a new one. Don't take any chances on smashing your truck.
