I would sugest faulty shift solinoid normally located inside the gearbox. access probably via removeing the auto sump. Could try changeing auto fluid first but i don't think will help. May show fault on a scan tool.

SOURCE: I have a 2005 Nissan

If the floor shift lever wont move out of park, there foot brake lock that prevents it from moving until you depress the brake pedal and pull it out of park. I think the release is vacuum operated so try depressing the brake pedal a few time while trying to release. TerBo

My 2005 nissan altima won't change from park when crunk up. what could be the problem?

Usually a sign of a faulty brake light switch or lock solenoid on the shifter. You may be able to get the shifter out of park by turning the key to the unlock position but not "on".
There may be a button you can push next to the shifter to unlock in an emergency. Check your owners manual.

I have a 2005 nisan altima 3.5 v6 with 54k. Everytime I come to a stop my rpms jump up to about 1500-2000 rpm's then go down between 500-1000 rpm's. Car shifts fine rides fine no other problems just...

It might be a vaccum leak on the hoses, perhaps. I really don't think you have anything to worry about. If that is the only problem, it is nothing.

My 2005 Altima is stuck in park. Automatic transmission, low miles starts right up and steering wheel is not locked. Help please!!!

your owner's manual will tell you how to over-ride the shift lock. ususally there is a hole covered by a plastic piece, next to the shifter. pop out the cover and push the button to shift. The shifter will lock back up in park until you fix the problem. You may want to set the parking brake and use neutral when you park the car instead of " Park". That way you will not have to push the release button-it will eventually break.

make sure your brake lights work; as the shift lock is powered by the brake light fuse-replace as needed.

My 05 altima has several error codes..335 (02,04,and 05) and 725 (01 and 03). The car acts like the starter may be going bad. Would these codes support that problem?

No those codes would not support a bad starter diagnosis.

And those are not correct codes for a should be a 4 digit code
