SOURCE: where is the air mass sensor(air fuel sensor) on

THE AIR FLOW METER IS LOCATED BESIDE THE AIR FILTER HOUSING.
IF YOU ARE GET IT A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FOR RICH OR LEAN FUEL MIXTURE THE AIR FLOW METER IS THE MOST LIKLY AT FAULT.
AIR /FUEL RATIO SENSORS ARE THE SENSORS BEFORE THE CAT IN MOST NEWER CARS
I DON'T THINK THAT YEAR USES A TRUE A/F SENSOR BUT RATHER A O2 SENSOR.

SOURCE: My name is Shawn and

P0171 means Fuel Trim System Lean (Bank 1)

The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty.

Note: The use of "oiled" air filters (K&N, etc.) can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled

There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor.

If your FT is leaning it that much, I would suspect an O2 sensor or it's circuit is the problem. When that O2 sensor went to 2V, I think you found your problem. The O2S is telling the PCM that the fuel ratio is way rich, so the PCM is assigning a way lean fuel trim.

Replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor should do the trick.

Either the mass-air sensor is bad, which normally throws a mass-air voltage code, or you definitely have an air leak post the mass-air. Smoke the intake manifold with a smoke machine or spray the whole intake to head, including to brake booster with brake cleaner and listen for a change in idle. Focus on the gasket surface of the intake manifold.

My engine light is on, and its code P0171 (System too lean Bank 1). Its toyota corolla VE 200. How do i fix it ? I am looking for mass air flow in my car ? I dont know where it is located ?

Remove the two screws that hold the MAF on the intake near the air filter, go to an auto parts store or electronic supply place and get a can of spray electronic cleaner, spray the inside of the air flow sensor, you need to get it into the small opening where the platinum sensor wires are, they get coated with dust and other gunk and confuse the computer because it gets the wrong signals, clean the wires until the look shiny, reinstall it, you may be able to clear the check engine light by disconnecting the battery and waiting 10 seconds, also replace the air filter and you should be good to go. ------- Check fig:-- bcc2a69.gif
Mass air flow sensor. Located in the intake near the airbox. 2 screws hold it in. Thanks.

A Chevrolet Prizm is the same Toyota Corolla car. Scion is Toyota also. All the mass air flow sensor of the same year and same engine size should be the same.
