You never know what those quick lube guys do! My son took a Jeep in for an oil change. Told them to check all fluids-yeah, sure! Guess they forgot. Next time he went for an oil change, they did check and told him the transfer case was completely dry.
Don't think they did anything to cause that on your car, though. Don't even know how that could happen. Is it random blinking, or car alarm-type blinking?

It sounds like they may have just bumped a connection loose. You could call the shop you had your oil changed at and explain your situation and they may be able to have you drive back to the store so they can double check any connections they could have bumped. Its pretty common, also you could also try going to advanced auto or auto zone and most of the time someone would be glad to help check them too. I always get great service or advice from those stores. I guess it depends on the "willingness" and knowledge of the sales rep. as well as how busy your local stores are when you go in. Hopefully that got you pointed in a few helpfull directions to start with.

Engine accelerates when at a stop, with break on

When something like this occurs it is more than likely that the PCV valve vacuum hose has become disconnected and the engine does not have the correct operating vacuum which will cause the engine to rev while in park, or drive per say. These can become easily disconnected during an oil change if the technician is not careful. Hope that helps

I have a 2000 Avalon and have gotten a Check Engine code of P1354. The Jiffy Lube folks tell me this is something to do with the VVI Malfunction Bank 2. How serious is this? Can I drive the car for a week...

The vvt-i system control timing with the help of the oil pressure if you are pass due, or skip oil changes, or oil is low due to a leak, or improper fill during an oil change, or simple the vvt-i oil actuator, or the vvt-i oil gear are faulty this code may be set.

What you can do. Make sure the oil is ok, the oil filter is new, now disconnect the battery for 10 seconds. code is clear if code comeback is time to let the dealer take care of the problem they have bidirectional scanners to activate this devices and tell you the best course of action.

Oil light kept blinking. Changed the oild and the light still keeps blinking

some cars like gmc. you have to reset it once you have done the oil change, if you look in the owners manual it will tell you how to reset it. if it is not that then it could be that something is wrong with your oil pressure.

Oil light comes on during full throttle

That can be caused by low oil, low oil pressure, a filter starting to clog, wrong type of oil in engine, or the oil needing changed. You should first change the oil and filter then check your oil pressure and go from there.

2008 Equinox steering quit. It was the mega 80 fuse, and a $6.00 fix. I have NEVER boosted anyone, so not sure what happened. Will see if it goes again but sure hope it was just a one time incident.
