SOURCE: 2004 frontier doors won't open
You might need new pins and bushings for the door, which cost under 15.00 if it is starting to stick. If the door will not open at all, check your inside door handle. Is there any tension when you pull on it? or does it pull really easy? If it pulls really easy, you will need to take the door panel off and see if the door rods are still in place. Sometimes they can come loose and need to be put back in. Or they could be broken. Either way, these are easy fixes, just take to the nearest auto body shop or mechanic shop to do so.

There is a cable that attaches to the inside door latch release handle. The plastic that retains this cable is most likely broken. I have seen this before. If the retainer is not holding the cable sheath correctly, the entire cable moves when the handle is pulled and does not release the door latch.
Remove the door panel and inspect this cable. You will see 2 cables (one is for the door lock). If the plastic is broken, you will need a new interior handle assembly.
Hope this is helpful!!

you need to remove the inside door panel to gain access to the guts of the door handle. its a pretty extensive repair for a novice.

There is a rod or cable that attaches to the door latch. I would think that this rod or cable has came unhooked out of the door latch. It will be in the back of the door, behind the door panel. Most likely this is the problem.
