I have a 1995 Honda Accord. It was in a minor accident a while back, it was fixed. It's starts perfectly but when I put it in gear it makes a loud noise it sounds like gunshots. I'm thinking...

Have the cv joints and shafts check for bends as they may be locking up when turning. Minor bumps can do hidden damage that is not noticeable on first inspection. It may be the flex plate which would indicate gear box misalignment or cracked housing.

if idle sound is an issue.... then put a bigger turbo on ur engine... smaller turbo means lesser weight which means that even at idle the back pressure will spin ur turbo blades.... if ur turbo is spooning at idle.. it's a good thing most guys aim at doing that... Dont worry...Be happy

Getting code 16683 on volkswagen passat and having trouble with turbo engaging after replacement of engine.

16683 - Boost Pressure Regulation: Control Range Not Reached may be intermittent or constant does not throw CEL if you've gotten it

This sounds like it's related to your turbo. Maybe something was damaged in the process of transferring parts over to the new engine?

Maybe a gasket, or seal or something?

Whenever i start the engine and put on the ac the engine sound changes and it affects the acceleration of the car. Why is it so ?

The a/c unit in your car/truck puts extra stress on the engine, as it is driven by your engine. It will sometimes seem like turning the a/c off while going up a hill can feel like a turbo boost of power in some cars. It will also sound like there is a load on your engine while it is on. If there is a loud whinning noise, that may not be normal, but it would have to be pretty loud.

Nissan Navara STR 2006 d22 3lt turbo. Turbo is whistling very

Remember, what is heard as turbocharger noise may not be caused by a noisy turbocharger. Before replacing a turbocharger perform the following diagnosis.
A. If a loud whine or whistle is heard during acceleration and increases or decreases with rpm and load. This condition is most often the result of a loose clamp/hose at the turbocharger compressor outlet, charge air cooler inlet, outlet or at the intake manifold.

1. With the engine running at idle and the transmission in Park or Neutral with the parking brake set, feel for boost air escaping at each connection between the turbocharger compressor outlet and intake manifold. For limited access areas, spray soapy water on those connectors and look for bubbles.

2. Check the exhaust manifold and exhaust system for leaks.

I hope this helped.

Thank you,
Norse

Turbo lags, or wont engage smoothly.

the golf is renowned for a 1/2 sec lag in the turbo (except for the diesel which is quicker and more powerful all round,2 secs faster from 30 to 60.)you could chip the car (volks tuning) and make it much better...if you had a clutch problem, the engine will spin, wheels would be stationary.....

Loud blowing noise from turbo when accellerating

Check the clamps aound the Inlet and Exhaust sides of the Turbo, and the Rubber Boots that connect the High pressure Air flow to the Charge Cooler Inlet and Outlet sides and the Boot into the Manifold. Any of these defects will create this sound. Especially look for a Split in the Connecting Boots, which will reduce Intake Air Pressure and Volume, which indicates a fault to the ECM, and susequent warning.
