Question about 2001 Daewoo Nubira

ENGINE TURNS OVER BUT WON'T FIRE

My 1999Nubira CDX2.0 has developed a starting problem in the last few days, when I turn the key first time after parking the car for even 5 min it turns over fine but does not fire, if I then turn it off completely, and wait 30sec or a minute then try again it will start and run as normal. I have checked the battery leads (cleaned terminals and leads) spark leads, connections to spark module and alternator. have tested battery 12.7V at rest and 14.4V with engine running, it seems to be getting fuel but I have not yet taken that apart to check. Any ideas, please

Thanks, but no, it does not appear to be that. having looked again, and also due to the fact that it has now seemed to develop another problem or maybe the same problem just in a different way. I turned the ignition on today and the lights did there usual thing and went out, but the immobiliser light kept flashing (little padlock) and yet again the car turned over but wouldn't start, I now believe that it may be the immobiliser, as eventually after turning the iginition on and off again repeatedly, the padlock dissappeared and I was able to start the car. Anyone know where and how to check and or solve this problem?

Are you getting a check eng lite? you may have a crank or cam position sensor not picking up correctly.

2002 kia sportage fuel pump needed replacing so we did and now car won't go

There maybe an air lock in the fuel line.
Try pouring a little fuel down the carby and then start the engine, you may need to do this a few times until the air lock is cleared.

Have replaced the battery on a nissan almera tino and now it won't start. It turns over OK but will not fire.

I changed the battery as it was struggling to start over a few days and then died completely after being left over a weekend. After the replacement all electrics worked but the engine wouldn't turn over, it just clicked. There was no immobiliser warning or messages on the screen. I tried a few of the things on this forum but it turned out to be a broken battery earth cable where it attaches to the gearbox under the car. I removed the cable (easier with the battery tray removed) then had a new lug attached to the end. Total cost 1.50. phew!

MX5 2003 1.8s Runs well but sometimes won't start. Not fuel starvation, feels like electrical. Turns over well then fires and stalls, may take another 5 attempts to get it to start. Never misses a beat...

Wish I could help!! My MX 5 has the same problem!! Tries to fire as soon as I turn the key, misses, then just cranks. This was a random occurrence until last week, then it decided it was not going to start at all. It will start fine with a push, then problem disappears again for a few days!! All I can think it is either a. coil pack, b. cam position sensor, or c. a relay somewhere in ignition or fuel system that is opening/closing to prevent engine running.....HELP!

Engine cranks, but won't start. Car has gas-Confirmed. Air Filter clean. Problem developed over several days. (i.e. harder & harder to start each day.) No problem noticed in engine/vehicle performance...

test replace the fuel pump relay, make sure the relay socket has 12 volts to 2 of it's terminal when the key is held in crank position, if not you may have a defective ignition switch or Powertrain control module (PCM)

F350 super duty, engine cuts out without warning

Check to see if your truck was recalled for a faulty cam shaft sensor. Some sensors develop hair line cracks which allow contaminants to get in and the sensor becomes intermittent. The symptoms can include sudden shutdown of the engine so a recall was issued.
