SOURCE: wanting to change oil pump
You have to remove the oil pan (drain the oil first, of course), the pump is in the deepest part of the pan, usually held to the block with two bolts. If you don't have a frame member under the shallow part of the pan, it is generally pretty easy to replace. Don't lose the shaft that drives the pump, sometimes that is a separate piece. Reuse the pick-up tube with the screen on the bottom (unless it is damaged, then replace it too, but that is unlikely).
Before you do this, you might want to run a compression check on the motor to make sure that you don't need to do a full rebuild. Usually the oil pump lasts as long as the rings and bearings. If you still have good compression, then when you have the oil pan off, you might want to pull one of the rod bearing caps off and check the condition and clearance of them.
If you have a frame member under the shallow part of the pan, you might need to unbolt the engine mounts and lift the engine a bit to be able to get the pan out.

Sorry, no photos or step by step. But the blower motor is usually quite easy to remove-just 3 screws hold it in place. Unplug the connector, remove holding screws, and pull out the motor with the roller drum (fan) attached. Then you will be able to see the problem. Good luck.
