SOURCE: where is the headlight relay located?

Headloght switch or dimmer HI-Lo switch is what I would look at. The power to the headlights goes through the dimmer switch before it gets to the bulbs. No relay!

Where is the headlight relay on a ford festiva

OK, you're looking at a switch or a relay because although the drl's work, that's a different circuit that's added on after the regular headlights and high beams.

Also, check your fuses and wiring for a problem there.

Head lights stoped working on my 1989 ford festiva

Start by checking the fuse(s), then if all is good there, move on to checking or replaceing the headlight relay, if all is good check the head light on/off switch on the dash, and last if all is good there, check or replace the headlight bulbs.
Good Luck !

I have no headlights on 1988 mustang gt turn signals brake lights and parking lights and dash lights all work but the head lights wont come on checked all fuses and relays there all good thanks

Check headlight lamps... then follow the wiring from the bulb connections back and make sure you're getting a good solid ground connection. It may have a loose, broken, severed grounding wire.. it's usually attached to the car body at some location not far from the headlights.

How do i remove the headlight on a 1990 ford festiva ?

The headlight is easy to remove once you know the trick. That is that you first have to remove the grill in the middle. Look in the back and you will see how the grill is attached and you can remove that first. Then you will have easy access to the 4 screws around the outside of the headlight frame. Remove those screws and turn the bulb ring 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and pull to remove bulb unit. Now you can remove the lamp. To replace, reverse removal procedure. Do not touch the bulb or oils from your finger will cause to it not last long.

Headlight installation

Hello, the Festiva headlights are very easy to replace, but you have to remove the sidemarker lamps and grill first. That is the trick to the job. I verified the procedure with my Festiva shop manual, so I am sure about it. To remove the side lamp, it has an arm in the upper left that you remove the screw from and then the screws on the outboard side of the side lamp. Once the grill is also removed, you can get to the headlamp holding bolts. Remove those. Then to get the headlamp free from the frame you need to remove the headlamp adjusting screws on the sides. Lastly, remove the wiring from the rear by turning the ring counter-clockwise. That's it. To reinstall the new one, do it in the reverse of the removal procedure. You will probably have to align the headlight beam or at least check it after installing the new headlight. It is adjusted with the headlight adjustment screws that change the angle of the headlight.
