It is usually up near the top of the engine(other end of the raidiator) some of them are black and very hard to fin maybe it is behind a air filter hose and also you should have a look in the owners hand book

How do i check oil level in gearbox of suzuki swift 2009

Gearbox oil can't be checked because it is sealed and needs to be drained out and checked for metal parts if there is damage to the gears. Take your vehicle to an authorised service centre if you suspect it is the gear box. Humming noise may be something else- like less engine oil or a defective AC intake (blocked tray) or some loose vibration.

Humming noise gearbox on suzuki swift when running fisrt and second gear

incorrect oil levels are the main cause for this, it usually starts with low gear to high gear as the level don't reach the gears properly or the other thing to look at is mounting engine and gearbox as when tuque is high then mounts are under a lot of stress, then there's the exhaust system could be near something Re: Jeff

Where do I fill the manual gearbox on my '97 Suzuki Swift cino ?

you should the filler / oil level plug on the side of the gear box about halfway up, it can be on either side, you will have to do this from under the vehicle this plug is both filler & oil level you will most likely need a special equipment to get the oil in, it is like a large syringe with a tube on the end of it (about12" long) you **** the oil with it & fill the gearbox that way until the oil runs out of the plug hole........hope this helps.......cheers.

Suzuki Swift model DBA- What is the gearbox oil for Suzuki Swift DBA-ZC71S model.

if this is a manual transmission it should take 80-90 weight gear oil,the same as in the differential.if its an automatic trans then us the manufactures required oil as with auto trans oil they have different additives that if the wrong one is put in it can cause problems.

Remove the oil guage and pour oil through the openining. You may need a small funnel to do this. Good luck.

Where under bonnett do i find the gear box oil dip 94 vitara

For a manual gearbox, there isn't a dipstick. There is a plug on the LH side of the diff housing part of the gearbox, just rearwards of where the LH driveshaft leaves the diff. Remove this plug, and the box should be filled to this level. This needs to be done on a level surface. If changing the oil, about 2.5 litres will be needed after draining the old stuff.

Cant find where to add gear oil in my 95 swift. found what i think is the plug, but unable to get oil in...just comes back out.

The fill plug is on the LHS of the diff casing just rearwards of where the LH drive shaft exits the gearbox. The box should be filled to this level and is about 1.6 - 1.7 litres.

Gearbox oil

It would depend on what Transmission u have, Auto or Man
I presume you mean manual when u say gear oil not trans fluid ,

But just in case you can Have a look in the suzuki owners forum for an exact volume of gearbox oil capacity
Visit the Suzuki Car Forums

Try draining it into container to get some idea
