SOURCE: Blown coil fuse

IG fuse powers: daytime running lamps(DRL) module; transaxle control module; A/C amplifier; main, fuel pump, and radiator fan relays; alternator; heated oxygen sensor; ignition coil, ignition noise suppressor; sensing and diagnostic module(airbag); audio alarm module; and just about every gage and light in the instrument panel; so there are no usual suspects. The best you can do is try to rule out these components one by one. There is a breaker you can buy that plugs in the fuse hole, that way you can **** around with it without wasting three dozen fuses.

SOURCE: 97 Geo Metro will not start

IF you are able to jump the vehicle using cables connected to another car then it is a power issue, if the vehicle stays running after starter you can most likely rule out the regulator, it sound like the battery is weak and dieing, it can be strong enough to run the radio without having the power to start the ignition.

SOURCE: No fire to coil replace coal and tested ignition

Try checking the timing belt. They will cause this issue if they are even slightly streched or worn .... because theys slkip and make engine jump time. you can replace it and should solve the problem after you get it back in time.

Would using a 80 amp fuse instead of a 60 amp fuse in a 1993 Geo Metro cause problems with the starter?

It shouldn't be. The starter is going to pull as many amps as it needs. The fuse is to protect the wiring and keep the car from catching fire in case the starter fails and tried to pull more current than it should. That being said you need to change it back. 80 amps is 33% more current than what that circuit is designed to carry. Being that it's a 1993 you should probably be on your 3rd starter by now

1993 geo metro doesnt want to start when I stop,

It sounds like a weak battery or weak coil. If it cranks slowly, it's most likely the battery. It's unlikely, but it could also be a poor or broken connection in the ignition switch on the wire that is supposed to power the coil during cranking. After having the battery tested (most parts stores will test for free), if it's ok, I would use a multimeter to check the voltage across the coil while the engine is cranking. It should read at least 6 volts some of the time. The voltage will drop out or fluctuate, this is normal. If you're unsure, the coil is fairly inexpensive and easy to replace.

No fire(spark) on my 1.0 liter 95 geo metro, coil has proper voltage even while cranking, all fuses and relays are good all wires clean and plugged in

ignition module is most likely ,but it could be the crank sensor unless you have a distributor as some older opel corsas had the pick up sensor inside the distributor

My '97 Geo Metro LSi will not start. When I turn the ignition key on the buzzer, idiot lights, lights, horn, etc., everything electrical will work. If I turn ignition key to start, there is absolutely no...

It could be the starter, test the small wire going to the starter, it should have power when turning the key to start/crank. If it does, and the starter will not crank the engine, whack it with a hammer, if it then starts, replace the starter. If there is no power to the starter, then it could be the ignition switch, or the neutral switch, or a fuse/link blown.

96 geo metro gets no spark with blown 15amp fuse

Sounds like you may have pinch a wire when doing the belt.Check that, and Don't use a 30amp fuse in place of a 15amp fuse if you want to keep your car running, and not have to replace the whole wiring harness or watch the fire dept.come and put your car out.

Please rate this a fixya
