SOURCE: How to replace 1998 toyota corolla left door lock

take off the door panel, there will be a aluminum frame behind it, but isnt too hard to work around, its located at the bottom directly under the lock, theres a couple bolts and a wiring harness, and you also need to have the window up to get it out, hope this helps! good luck

Where is the idle sensor on my 1993 toyota corolla 1.8 liter LE, my car keeps stalling when i stop, its not my fuel filter just changed it the only possible thing i can think of is my idle sensor someone...

The idle air control valve is right on top of the engine on the passenger side of the vehicle on the throttle body. You may also want to check the throttle postition sensor which is located on the side of the throttle body. Additionally if there are any check engine lights on, you can go to a parts store and have them pull the codes. Its usually free or very cheap and only takes a few minutes.

I own a 2007 model 1.8 ltr Automatic Transmission Toyota Corolla Altis. I am unable to get used to the throttle LAG. When the throttle paddle is pressed, there is no response for the first few (4-5)...

Your vehicle is equipped with "fly by wire" throttle. When you step on the accelerator, you are actually stepping on a variable resistor that changes voltage in a circuit that goes to the throttle actuator module mounted on the throttle body on the engine. In plain english: your throttle is computer controlled. If this system is not working correctly, there should be fault codes stored in your engine computer.

the actuator might have been disconnected from the lock, its attached inside the door, with a metal rod that clips into the actuator, check it out, might be a easy fix, good luck and god bless, please rate me!
