Question about 2005 Lincoln Navigator
3 days ago, I had the o'rings replaced in the front suspension, as the suspension would not raise in cold temps. I was told there was a leak detected. Well since I got the car back, the suspension will still not raise when I first get in. Yes, the compressor comes on, but the car will not raise until the car is driven 5-10 miles. But since the o'rings have been replaced the passenger side takes longer to raise, so the car is now leaning. I had the height sensor replaced two months ago. I am concerned as to why the right side is now not raising with the left side. Once both sides do raise there is a difference in the heights by .50 inch.
Yes, I agree. The 2003 on up Navigator has the worst designed and most expensive system that has ever rolled out of Ford Motor Company. Do yourself a favor and do a Lincoln Navigator Air Suspension Conversion 03 06 This IS the only way to be able to count on this vehicle.

SOURCE: my 04 navigastor dropped on
Constructive----I have a very complicate 2004 Linclon LS and relatives have the Navigator, and Expeditions,Etc.
These vehicles have so many issues, dealers are not an option, because of cost, and there inability to even find an issue, that fortunately, I have done my own repairs for 47 years and stayed up with the technology.
I would say unless you have a local shop and a few dollars left,to diagnose and repair that air ride system, which I don't see as a problem, I would recommend you replace the suspension with conventional parts ,such as strutmasters offers or other Mfg may have. That way eliminate the air suspension issues.
It is ten years old and you will have the rest of it's ownership ,making love ,to constant COP Ignition Coil problems and more,so you don't need to stay with suspension issues
You should no way be at a dealer, for any make or model vehicle ,after the warrantee runs out.
If you have deep pockets, want nothing repaired and as people have coined it,get ripped off (over charged) then a dealer will hook you up

SOURCE: i have a 2001 lincoln navigator the rear suspension is down i hear the pump come on but it will not raise by the way i had the pump replace about 8 months ago what could be the problem and can i fix i
The air bags commonly go bad on these trucks as well as the Expeditions. They are called Air Springs. I sell better quality ones than those sold at auto part stores and they are also a bit cheaper than dealer parts. But either way the problem is you have bad air springs.
