Hi, engine management light is coming on the dash. i've checked the fusebox and fuse number 41 was blown. i replaced and then turned the engine on, the engine management light was still on and then i checked the fuse again and it was blown again. i tried this process 3 times, same result. in the owners manual, fuse number 41 is called 'engine fuse' and it's 10amp. the van is very sluggish especially uphill. i tried a 30amp fuse, that didn't blow, however the management light is still on, but its running normal now (not sluggish). please help. what is the function of fuse number 41 (engine fuse). many thanks
Engine light stays on
the ecu will have fault codes stored to be read
that will point to the cause and a fix of the over load
my best information on a vito if diesel..says
10 amp fuse 41 . glow plugs
you must need the van on the road very badly
30 amp in a 10 amp fuse position can
melt the wiring even a fire

Do both fans work for sure? You may want to replace the fans runs anywhere from 140$ up to 250$ depending on the brand.
Keep me updated.
Thanks,

SOURCE: Blows fuses when parking lights are turned on. Headlights work fine even running lights.
If it only happens when you turn the switchto the parking lights then it is most likely the swich that is the problem. Light swich failure appears to be a common fault with fords
SOURCE: 1996 ford f150 blows the 10amp fuse going to the speed odometer.
I'm glad you found what was causing the fuse to blow. A wiring diagram is almost a must when troubleshooting electrical. you may be able to find that sensor at a pick-a-part or wrecking yard. Just be extreamly careful, it is very easy to set off the air bag. Make sure that all power is off before working around that area.
