Question about 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
I ran out of gas ,then when i went to start it again after i got home ,it wouldnt start...i changed the fuel filter, because it was clogged..now it will not start...i checked all fuses, and made sure the filter was on the rite way..still nothing...please help
When you turn on switch u should hear fuel pump kick on for few seconds if no sound check for power at connection that connects to sending unit. you have to have someone turn switch to see if light tester lights up for first 2 to 3 seconds. If you have power to that point problems in a bad fuel pump.

Best do a fuel pressure test. Should have chg. fuel filter from the get go. The only other filter is on the end of the fuel pump in tank. Bad gas and dirty gas will plug up fuel filter, hense burn pump up.
