Question about 1998 Ford Explorer
Looks like a hose may have cracked . im not possitive thats where the oil came from..would my car automatically shut off it it suppecter trouble
No oil condition and did it overheat? When you shut it off,why did you shut it
off. What was the problem? If it's out of oil,the lifters go flat and the engine shakes and dies, maybe permanently. More info, please. don-ohio

SOURCE: 95 mustang gt headlight problem
Its your headlight switch... I have the same problem with my mustang.... After time goes on it wears on the copper connectors on the headlight switch and they will either get loose or they will bend and at times losing connections... I picked up the headlight switch from Auto Zone for $16.99... AND I believe that the sound you're hearing isn't coming form your engine but its coming from the headlight switch... Dont quote me on it but I am sure thats where its coming from... Due losing and gaining connection...

SOURCE: hood wont pop
Are you sure it has a cable fitted as mine opens from the front of the car with the key. to do this you swing the ford badge up insert the key, turn it one way to pop the hood then turn it the other way to release and lift it at the same time

SOURCE: Car wont start
I have to agree with duane_wine. Starter makes sense. Sometimes you can jump the starter by cracking the solenoid with something metal. This doesn't always work, but sometimes it'll knock some of the corrosion off the internal componets. Good luck. Love to hear what the issue ultimately is.

does your oil light come on because if your oil light comes on and the the car is cold there is no knocking but when the car warms up you hear the knocking its going to be your oil pump and the oil pump screen

usually, the vacuum hose routing is on the underside of the hood, but if yours is missing, check on autozone.com . the component locator should be there. if not, try a haynes repair manual .
