Question about 2005 Toyota Corolla XRS

Open Question

Driver Water Valve Circuit Short

My car sat for a few days in the severe cold and when i came back, it cranked and almost started, but wouldn't kick over..I don't think Battery/Alternator/Starter are the issues. Ran a diagnostic with Innova 3160 and got B2799 error code and it said Driver Water Valve Circuit Short... is that issues with the fuel pump?

SOURCE: Truck has been sitting up for a long time .Brought

Sounds like the injectors arn't putting fuel into the combustion chamber. The only thing could be is the ecu (car's computer) your going to have to try and pick up another computer for it.

Sorry for you luck, but good luck in the find

SOURCE: I changed the starter in my 1996 camary and now

Check to see if you are getting any spark to the plugs, if not then the wireing on the starter is wrong or you arched the wire while changeing the starter

SOURCE: This Spring my 89 toyota

The gas is going to evaporate in the bowl, especially when engine is hot. Your problem is not that but rather fuel supply because the fuel in bowl should be quickly replaced on startup. Check fuel pump, filter and maybe for a a restriction or vacuum leak on suction side of fuel line slowing the draw of fuel from tank.

----------

Possibly there's a needle valve in the bottom of the bowl? A worn valve would allow the gas to leak into the manifold. The gas should be visible in the manifold.

----------

Also it sounds like the accelerator pump is not working properly. It would be a good time to get a carb kit and overhaul the carb. Be sure to clean the passages and blow them out with compressed air.

--------

A bad accelerator pump diaphram or the accelerator pump jet plugged up as the problem. -------

Also check the the float gas level.

----------

Try blowing through the accel pump passages with carb cleaner, the larger of the two holes goes to the float chamber And the smaller hole (on the left side) .Blow through the carb and out into the primary venturi. If there's a check valve it should allow pressure to go through towards the
venturi.-----

The stiff diaphragm may depress and make a pump okay but the light spring may not have
enough oomph to return it back to position, if all the way .Find a NAPA and get THEIR aerosol carb cleaner, two bucks. Best cleaner. Try from the top of the carb the same cleaning method on all the

holes.

-------

Remove the accelerator pump diaphragm and blow through the little hole. attach the little tube and squirt it through the little hole and see where it comes out. Do those on top of the carb body too and see where they go.Blow air through the atmospheric vent holes located on the dome of each float bowl chamber. Air should exit via hoses or brass nipples. Inspect the emulsion tubes and passageways (cast towers that jets thread into) for discoloration and debris. Clean interior emulsion towers with a soft bristle gun cleaning brush. Clean each Venturi (main carb bore). ---------

This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

2003 Saturn Vue with a identity anti theft system. Replaced my battery a few months ago. Couple weeks ago noticed a little difficulty starting up. Last week wouldn't start just clicking noise. Jumped...

Anti-theft system has nothing to do with it . Battery cables , maybe , Park neutral safety switch possibly ! With anti-theft system problem you wouldn't a click or anything , that is if the anti-theft disables fuel or the starter . Plus the SECURITY light would be on if it were a anti-theft system problem . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop that knows how to do starter circuit testing >
Starter Voltage Drop
How to voltage drop test starter motor circuit

And what's this identity anti theft system ? No such thing ! The vehicle has a content theft an vehicle theft deterrent system !
This system disables fuel not cranking of the engine. The VCM/PCM will not disable the fuel due to any BCM message for the remainder of the ignition cycle.
If the VCM/PCM does not receive the same password from the BCM as the last learned one, the vehicle will start and then stalls due to the Fuel Lockout.

Ford code p1316

ford code p1316 is IDM problem ( injector driver module)
the IDM operates as 2 banks of injector drivers ( right and left and can cause one bank to shut down as if driving a 4 cyl
there are forum statements which say that there is a problem with wiring and clips inside of the rocker covers or broken wires
check that the harness and wires to the unit are tight
suspect that the module may be in an area that is near the transmission and the wires may have been disturbed
I went google and typed in--- ford fault code p1316 and there are videos and forum sites that will help you
code p 0562 refers to system voltage --low===causes ---wiring---poor connection--battery---alternator
also refers to ECM power relay control--circuit open wiring ---ECM relay
check that all harness connections were put back properly after the transmission job
code p 0231 refers to fuel pump relay---circuit low ===causes --wiring short to ground --fuel pump relay---ECM

2004 Hyundai Accent would not start after it had warmed up. Subsequently it would not start at all but the valve cover blew off.

That sounds like a timing/ cooling system issue. The coolant sensor would adjust the timing etc. Your tech would have to scan the car & check the live readings (HOT & COLD) & check the emissions. Put all the pieces together & solve the puzzle

The system is not affected by altitude in this way, the thing you need to check is fuel pressure, this may be pump related.
