Check and see if you are getting spark. If you aren't getting spark, sounds like you might have a problem with the crank sensor. The car won't give you spark if you aren't getting a crank signal, oil pressure signal, and it will take a long time to start if you aren't getting a cam signal. If the car is getting spark contact me back and we will go from there. Hope this helps you

Status monitor and radio went out on 1994 jeep grand cherokee lerado

Remove the negative battery terminal from the battery, count to 10 and put it back on. If that doesn't work, then try it with the positive terminal. That resets the computer. Of course this is assuming that you have already checked the fuses.

89 jeep cherokee wont start

after replacing your ignition coil, try replacing also your high tension wires.

if this does not solve your problem, try using another battery (preferably a larger one), might as well be a weak battery

I'm having the same problem w/my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lerado v8. Got a new battery & it would crank but not start, acted like it was out of gas. I had to reset the security alarm system by turning...

Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good. I don't think your security system is the problem? At the starter motor two voltage circuits, one is fuse protected and is hot all the time. The other circuit goes hot with key in the start position and relay is energized. Any testing at relay or starter motor, make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set.

Engine code 95 jeep grand cherokee lerado

12 is a battery disconnect within the last 50 start cycles and 55 means the end of the diagnostic cycle.  Basically the computer found nothing wrong. The 12 code may seem incorrect if you haven't disconnected the battery recently, but from my experience the 12 code shows up almost all the time regardless.
