Where is starter located on 1994 Oldsmobile 88 Royale?

Hi there:
  1. If necessary for access, remove the splash shield.
  2. If equipped, unfasten the flywheel inspection cover bolts and remove the cover.
  3. Label and detach the electrical connectors from the starter.

Fig.: Unfasten the starter motor electrical connections. You may want to tag them first to avoid confusion

the starter is located at the lower part of the engine, back side. trace the big wire from the positive terminal of the battery, it should run down directly to the starter. if it passes to a starter relay, then still , it will go to the starter.

tnx 4 using fixya,
