Question about 1998 Dodge Caravan
The gauges do not move when car is started. the only thing lit on dash is mileage and gears. When shifting gears, it does not switch on dash, you just have to feel it in the gear box. no way of knowing how fast, how much gas or anything. Please help me diagnose this problem. Head lights and everything work, dash will light up when lights are switched on but gauges are out.
Check for bad solder joint on back of instrument cluster where the connector attaches to it. One or two of the pins are probably not properly soldered. Takes about 30 minutes to fix if it's like mine.
