SOURCE: how to fix jammed refill valve on butane lighter

I am in the Same situation, I have completely removed the tank, and dismantled it, what is clogging it is the gunk left behind by cheap butane, I keep researching but no one has a solvent or liquid that will dissolve the gunk, I am considering vinegar but I think it will ruin the seals, Please tell me if you know any way to disolve the green oil gunk.

My butane lighter I bought brand new in the mail won't even click when I try to light it? I hope it's an easy fix can anyone help please?

Many of these have a safety lock. Have a look for it, either a slide or another button that you have to press before the clicky bit.

In Canada all imported lighter have to have them.

Idle a little high

There is a way of slightly changing the idle on your Taurus. I will tell you, but first you may want to test the seams of the intake manifold gasket. When you get a leak around the intake, or the Airhorn on top of it; the effect is the same as opening the Throttle and letting more air into the engine. This may be the reason the engine is running faster now.

Test your seams with a spray water bottle while the engine is running. If you have the engine stall or lose RPM you have found the leak. Fix it and the engine will run slower at idle.

The other way to lower RPM is an adjustment to the TPS. There is a slot on one end of the sensor. The Throttle Position Sensor is mounted on the Airhorn, has 2 screws and 1 Electric connector. It is about the size of a Butane lighter. If you can't get adjustment there, on the opposite side of the Airhorn from the TPS is linkage. There is an odd looking set screw where the linkage rests. It is made to be difficult to turn, but it will change the RPM.

Our ford bronco will not run new fuel relay, fuel punp works, new spark plugs, new filters, changed oil, we have spark, and compresion no fuel

Check to see if you have a Throttle Position Sensor. This would be on the Airhorn and works with the throttle butterfly. It is about the size of a butane lighter and has 1 electric connector and 2 screws.

This part sets the spark and fuel for the throttle position.

Need to remount rear view mirror and can not remove mounting button

I have had good luck solving the same problem by simply heating the button up with a regular old hair dryer, then using a window scraper that holds a razor blade to pop the button off. Make sure the adhesive is good & warm, because if you force the issue you can crack the windshield. If you still can't get it off by using the hair dryer, try using a butane (bic) lighter. Be careful though as you can discolor the windshield or actually melt the protective plastic coating. Hope this helps!
