Question about 2002 Honda Accord
My 2002 Honda Accord LX's "check engine" light comes on the day after I get gas. It just recently started doing this. Originally, I thought that I was not putting my gas cap on good, but I have been careful to put it on tightly. The light has come on three different occassions. What could this be? Do I need to take the car in to have it worked on?
Stop by an autozone and let them check it for you , they will scan it , and tell you what code(s) you have and the meaning , since you say its the day after a fill up it sounds like an evap leak , the car will run self diagnostic tests on itself and the evap tests would have criteria to meet before taking the test , one would be how much gas in the tank to take the test , then it won't run self test again till criteria is met again .
